Norwegian dark folk band Wardruna released a new single, “Hertan,” last week, and now they’ve announced what they say will be their only US performance this year. It happens at Morrison, CO’s iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre on October 3, and it’s with support from Chelsea Wolfe. Tickets go on sale Friday, April 12 at 10 AM MST.
“The memories of our previous performance at Red Rocks still resonates strongly in us and so it is safe to say that our excitement over the chance to start the new cycle and revisit this unique and legendary place is formidable!,” Wardruna’s Einar Selvik says. “This time we are lucky to be joined by the powerful Chelsea Wolfe as our support and we promise you a night to remember!”
Chelsea adds, “I’m excited and honored to support Wardruna at Red Rocks — what a beautiful setting to experience their songs and voices. I’ve seen them live twice now and it was absolutely fantastic and powerful both times. Listening to Wardruna is always a lift in spirit for me. They’re my favorite band and I’m really grateful for the care and intention they put into their music..”
After their Red Rocks show, Wardruna will tour Latin America and Europe for the remainder of 2024, followed by their first-ever shows in Australia and New Zealand in early 2025, and shows in the UK, Ireland, and Norway. See all dates below.
