Swami John Reis (Drive Like Jehu, Hot Snakes, Rocket from the Crypt) is on tour with his new band The Bed of Nails, and they stopped in NYC on Tuesday night (4/9) for a Saint Vitus-presented show at Mercury Lounge. While Reis’ band is new, he’s still delivering the high-energy surf/garage punk he’s known for and they sounded great, playing songs from his upcoming album, which he said would be out in early August (including single “How Are You Peeling?“), and a few Swami classics.
