Shaboozey Delivers Country Party Smash “The Bar Song (Tipsy)”

Shaboozey gives a classic J-Kwon sample a country spin to get the whole party tipsy on his new single: “Bar Song”. The Virginia native is emerging as one of country’s latest breakout acts, and his momentum only keeps on growing. This comes fresh off his recent COLORS STUDIOS appearance and his high-profile features on Beyoncé’s latest LP, Cowboy Carter. Garnering his first Billboard chart placements, things are just heating up for him, judging by his new track.

“The Bar Song” plays like a hypnotic folk anthem as Shaboozey trades in his daily stress for a dose of shots. Interpolating J-Kwon’s 2004 party anthem “Tipsy”, the singer breathes new life into it by blending his country sound and his smooth southern slang to deliver a jam that will get the whole crowd jumping. The energetic guitar, fiddle, and troop of vocals are the only things the Woodbridge songwriter needs to kick the song off in high gear. The chorus itself is an undeniable carefree chant that’s bound to become addictive ear candy the moment it’s heard. Regardless of who the listener is, this track can bring masses of different genres together to rejoice over drinks.

“Someone pour me up a double shot of whiskey,

They know me and Jack Daniel’s got a history,

Therе’s a party downtown, near 5th Street

Everybody at the bar gеttin’ tipsy”

“Bar Song” has been out for a couple of days and is already gaining traction, hitting #1 on the US iTunes chart. This release is only the latest single off his forthcoming album, Where I’ve Been, isn’t Where I’m Going. With the project slated to drop late next month, “Tipsy” is definitely one of its early standouts. As for Shaboozey, the future is bright for the budding singer on the verge of country stardom.
