Green Day celebrated their new album Saviors with a series of intimate NYC shows in January, at Rough Trade, Irving Plaza, and on the subway. Their “Hella Tiny Tour” is now in California, where they played Anaheim’s House of Blues in March, and San Francisco’s The Fillmore earlier this month. Their next stop is Los Angeles, where they’ve announced a show at the 780-capacity Echoplex on Thursday (4/18). Tickets go on sale Wednesday, April 17 at noon PDT.
With the announcement of their LA show comes speculation that Green Day could be a surprise addition to weekend two of Coachella, which runs from April 19-21 in Indio (Vampire Weekend, who performed on Saturday, were the last minute addition for weekend one). Stay tuned.
Green Day will play Dookie and American Idiot on their upcoming stadium tour, which is with Smashing Pumpkins, Rancid, and The Linda Lindas joining them on most dates, an includes an NYC show at Citi Field on August 5. See all dates below.
